This special wheel is intended to be used on long fast rides and light-load touring under poor or no-pavement road conditions. The Campagnolo box rim is light, strong, and has
very little hop at the join. Drive side spoke tension averages 320Lbf. The non-drive static spokes are slightly tighter than the non-drive pulling spokes; hence under a torque load their tensions will converge (TLTC or Torque Load Tension Convergance). The hub will take a disk brake, or if your gears become striped, you can flip the wheel and put on a single gear.
Inserting a willow-wand in the hollow hub axle and holding the wheel level to the ground converts it to a dowser capable of locating springs in an arid region, such as the Great Basin.
