Magistroni Headset with Pinch Bolt NIB NOS

This Italian made Magistroni headset fits the British threads on a 1" fork steering tube. It appears to have been made in the 1960's, in the judgement of the sellor. The crown race diameter is 26.6mm. The stack height is approximately 41mm. The pinch bolt on the headset lock nut was probably meant to be used with a fork that had slots in the steerer tube, or one that had damaged steerer tube threads. The lock nut is approximately 16mm high. Inside the lock nut are four threaded segments which are slotted for expansion/contraction. The toothed washer that holds the tooth-topped adjustable bearing race in place has a flat on it and expects to see a fork steerer with a flat rather than one with a slot.
