First used on the VeloCity Stealth bicycle, this wheel was so good we built a couple more of them. Besides being a good looker, it has a very high strength-to-weight ratio due to the 445 gram rim and extra high spoke tension(using a 36 hole rim instead of 32 holes causes little weight change and is another factor in the robustness of this wheel). Longevity is also enhanced by our TLTC (torque load tension convergance) design.
The drive side static spokes average about 86Lbf HIGHER(320Lbf static versus 234Lbf pulling)than the drive side pulling spokes. A torque load will cause the tightest spokes to get looser and the looser spokes to get tighter! This is the opposite of most all wheels in existance and reverses a frequent cause of premature spoke failure in those wheels. The user of this wheel will also notice a new solidity in their bike on descents and sudden, sharp turns.
