This Extra-Heavy Duty wheel is suitable for the back of a tandem or for Mr. Big's bike. A cheap,anonomous Shimano hub
is coupled to a Salsa Gordo rim. The rim cross-section is called a 'Triple Box 'X' brace' and the rim weight a reasonable 580 grams. The spokes are DT Alpine (13/14 single butted) and are used with Heavy Duty nipples. This wheel has the TLTC (torque load tension convergence)feature.
